About Our Jewellery

We love bracelets and believe you can never have too many! Bracelets are so expressive, yet so easy to wear. They can be touching reminders of a person or an occasion, or something that just makes you smile, and that is why bracelets are at the core of our collections. We have also designed a limited range of necklaces and earrings that compliment our bracelets.

Melting Hearts jewellery is handmade from natural materials. We take great care to make sure, where possible; the components we use are sourced from fair trade suppliers. We work with craftsmen across the world, many using traditional techniques and materials.

Whilst our designs draw on current trends we believe they have a timeless quality the appeals across all ages. Our collections will change with the seasons and evolve as we are continually inspired by the things around us.

Each of our pieces hold meaning; be it the healing powers of precious stones, the symbolism of a charm or the reason why is given or worn. But most importantly we design jewellery that looks beautiful, and feels good to wear.

How to wear our bracelets

Whilst our bracelet can be worn alone, we think they look best when mixed together with other pieces from our collections, and even better when worn with your own jewellery collection. We love the way people mix bracelets; simple strings from a French market, alongside precious metals and gems, creating a totally individual and eclectic look.

Pure Silver

Some of the silver components of our jewellery are made by the Karen Hill tribes in Thailand who produce pure, fine silver (99.99% pure) which is in fact purer than sterling silver. The silver is oxidized and cleaned with lime juice to create a bright and pleasing tone. Pure silver pieces are not hallmarked we can assure you that they are made from silver. Other components are made from sterling silver and hallmarked where appropriate.

Gold Vermeil

Our gold vermeil is pure silver plated with 1 micron of 18K gold, followed by 2 microns of 24K gold and 6 additional microns of a protective coating. This gives the gold a lasting beautifully intense richness and is neither bright nor shiny.

Charms

Our charms are made from natural materials and sourced from North Africa, Asia and America. Many are handmade by local craftsmen in traditional designs. Occasionally we come across one off and antique pieces. These truly special pieces will be featured on our website as the become available.

Bespoke Service

Because almost all our jewellery is made to order, we can quite easily adapt our designs. Let us know if you want different or extra charms or alternative sizes; our designs are flexible and we can adapt them to meet your exact requirements. What's more we can source most semi-precious stones and will do our best to track down special charms.

Remodelling

We can also remodelling your existing jewellery. We have remodelled several clients' old unworn pieces, creating bracelets and necklaces, particularly from the lariats that were popular a few years ago.

Please note that as we source from very small producers in remote parts of the world occasionally we cannot get hold of certain components. Therefore, we may have to substitute elements. If this is a case we will contact you to fully explain and send you an image of alternative piece for your approval.
